Aurora is an artists association consisting of 7 permanent and 5 guest artists.
Aurora was started by silent film star Asta Nielsen in 1967 as a pure female group. Today, the group has reinvented itself and also includes male artists. Although Aurora has a long history, the association moved with the times and it is definitely recognized, modern and has contemporary artists participating in the group.
Arne Møller

Gorm Eriksen
Born June 21. 1940, artist, paintings, intaglio, lithographs, lives in Smidstrup close to Gilleleje.
“The fiercely expressive use of colours is Gorm Henriksens artistic trademark. He leads the brush in rapidly moving or abruptly broken strokes across the canvas. It is the inner images, that the artist wants to make visible.” Alice Fanøe, art historian.
Hanne Sie
At this exhibition I present paintings, water colours and graphics. My work revolves around colour and shape as expressions, and as a universal, wordless language. I process my sensory inputs and thoughts about the world to abstract, colourist compositions on a personal, lyrical palette. The works appears geometrical and concrete, but carry titles reflecting my daily world.

My sculptures should be seen – that’s where things happen. They should not be explained.
I work in iron in the classic concrete style, totally abstract, nothing recognisable from the external world – only surfaces, lines and spaces, in inner harmony and balance.

Regitze Steinbruch
I am a second-generation immigrant with roots in what’s known as “The Old Central Europe”, a cultural space which through centuries created a sort of identity that also resounded through the arts.
All imagery begins with a mushy darkness – at least that’s how I perceive it: A kind of undifferentiated, amorphous substance – calling for shape and form.
But how to call those shapes and forms out, to the surface that can be seen by others, and not just your self?
Søren Schaarup
I am an autodidact sculptor and have worked as a professional artist since 1999, focused on monumental works for the public space.
My sculptures are non-figurative and inspired by organic shapes with reference to both the human body and nature.
