Ranveig Barstad’s works form a colorful universe of inner and outer landscapes that invite us into nature’s undulating, jagged, diverse forms. The forms can become abstract mosaics, even meditative spaces, where the visitor can find calm, depth and dynamism – or even a poetic world of images with mountain landscapes, sea, birds and strange creatures.

She makes excellent use of the possibilities of water colour and uses her distinctive technique to bring the medium to life with patterns and lines that form a myriad of facets to immerse oneself in.
