In the last few years my focus have been on becoming more proficient within the art of painting itself. In the past I have often in my high level teaching of danish connected to both art history and history of ideas. Thus the classical backdrop is essential to me in all my thoughts and considerations concerning the art of painting, and I try to put myself and my work in as an extension of a very long tradition of landscape painting.

My style is a balance between naturalism and the abstract. This balancing enables me to express a view of nature filled with dynamic opposites. At the moment I prefer oil painting, as this media allows me to work the colours into each others in an elastic way, creating organic colour mixtures expressing dramatic energy and poetic calm at the same time.
