About the artists and their art:
Nulle Øigaard

Nulle Øigaard’s textile works are actually paintings with fabric, and her fabric palette is more than rich. The exhibition shows both large and small tapestries with motifs from Southern Europe, Bali and Bagsværd, ink sketches from her time in Mallorca and individual examples of her dancers and musician textile sculptures.
Nulle Øigaard says about her world of motifs: “It is motifs from the coasts and landscapes of the Mediterranean that have been my great source of inspiration all my life. Travel has been a natural condition, and pictures always come out of that. The work begins, urgently, on a mood, a view, a memory, an experience or something that I feel as a metaphysical initiative”.

Georg Metz

Georg Metz describes one of his stage models as follows:
Carl Nielsen: Masquerade. (Libretto based on Ludvig Holberg’s comedy). In the last act, the threads of the story of generation gap and misanthropy come together. All actors and the many masquerade guests meet in the masquerade hall with galleries on both sides with guests looking on in celebration and joy as it is now their job too.
On the front stage, just before the rooster dance is about to begin, the rooster stares at death on the opposite side, worried about his upcoming act, as the rooster suit is dangerously hot. In the demands for art, it cannot be different.

Laura Drasbæk

Laura Drasbæk always works in stoneware and uses the annealed objects as a base for the pictures that the glaze paints on her dishes, vases and masks. She mostly uses organic forms, just as the glaze often appears to have arisen naturally despite being very controlled.
Laura is a trained actress and has appeared in films, theater and television.
Since 2018, she has worked with ceramics alongside her acting career, which gradually takes up most of her time and interest. In the same period, she has been taught in many different places, including portrait modelling, turning (among others at Tortus, Åge Wurtz and Toseibo, to learn about Japanese ceramic art) and attended several glaze courses. Since 2021, she has had Drasbæk ceramics and opened a store on Jagtvej in 2023.
