Born into a family of famous Danish pictorial artists, Ib Spang Olsen and Nulle Oigaard, Martin was early in life introduced to the art scene. He held his fist exhibition at age 19 and has painted professionally ever since. Being trained as a singer and guitarist, he often gives concerts at the vernissage.
He holds a total of 28 professional titles – stretching from pictorial artist, musician, actor, director martial artist, stunt coordinator, and more.
“I perceive the movements of dreams – trance forms, in which figure and non-figure fuse. I dream my motives, and they in turn dream me. We are a connected carpet in the collective field. Inexplicable, but most recognizable for anyone daring to dream”.

Claus Boysen and Martin Spang Olsen created a duo around their common love for Jazz standards and Walt Disney cartoons. Martin has a background in classical music and musicology, while Claus is an experienced jazz guitarist. They have organized a 30 min concert which will be followed by Martin´s Artist Talk. He will take us around his work and introduce us to its dreamlike visions.
