Anni Fiil
Anni is from Denmark and is a paper artist, trained as a weaver, a member of Danish Craftsmen and Designers and member of Grafisk Værksted, Næstved.
She works with all types of paper, but prefer hand made. She has exhibited many times in Denmark and internationally in Israel, England, Poland, Germany, Holland, Italy, South Korea and the United States. Her work is based on the paper’s physical expression and the material and its shape forms the basis of her motives.
Jorge Nigro
Jorge is from Argentina and works in oil on canvas. He graduated in Buenos Aires at the Academy “Excuela de Artes Visuales” and has lived in Denmark since 1983. He has illustrated several Latin American poetry books and participated in a series of exhibition projects both here and in his homeland. Jorge’s designs are imaginative and friendly universes in the framework of birds and fish with representations of life thatexudes global outlook and zest for life.
Doron Silberberg
Doron is from Israel and creates sculptures in ceramic and bronze. He was trained at the art academy “Bezalel” in Jerusalem and is a seasoned exhibitor. He came to Denmark in 1975, and after many years of work as art director and illustrator he switchedfrom pen, paper and mouse to stoneware clay and glaze. The figures in Doron’s works bear witness of a critical and humorous outlook on you, me and us humans in general. His sculptures are stories of love and hate, us and them.
Sólva Gunnarsson Olsen
Sólva is from the Faroe Islands and strong colours and changing lights are very typical for her Faroen landscapes, although she has lived her entire adult life here in Denmark. In addition to her paintings, Sólva likes to experiment with different materials, like skin, textile and paper
Sean McKenna
Sean is from Ireland, but has lived in Denmark since 1987. He works primarily in wood and stone and has made a number of installations in public spaces in places like Øresund, Gentofte, Hillerød, Hornsherred and a number of other places in North Zealand.
Jannis Karydakis
Jannis is from Greece and is a member of the art society Mesogaia. He was trained in Germany in Frankfurt and Munich. Jannis has exhibited in our gallery many times and since he is married with a Swede he is working long periods in Falun with a group of graphic artists.
Arne Pjedsted Salomonsen
Arne is from Denmark, but nurtures a definite fascination for India where he travels regularly, so his art is often inspired by the Indian culture. He goes frequently to Sweden, and outside of Denmark he has exhibited in both Sweden and Norway.
Johnny Williksen
Johhny is from Norway, but has both studied and lived in Denmark in his adult life. Johnny was co-founder of our gallery and for almost 20 years he had his studio here and looked after the gallery. In addition to acrylic paintings and water colours, Johnny also makes sculptures – often from wood and stones found on the beaches of Røsnæs, where he now reside
Isroildzon Baroti
Isroildzon is by origin from Tajikistan, but has spent the greatest part of his life in Lithuania. The cultural poles of two countries enable the artist to be close to and between both lands. This dual geographical, mental and spiritual state has formed the unique artistic style of Isroildzon.
Tryggvi Ólafsson
Tryggvi is from Iceland, but he has lived in Copenhagen for more than 40 years and has exhibited with us many times. His colourful works are full of symbols and he has illustred a number of books. In 2001 a museum opened in his hometown of Neskaupstadur with his paintings, graphics and book illustrations.
Susanne Rubin
Susanne is from Denmark and has in recent years exhibited with us. For many years she was connected to Galleri Rubin and Magnussen and their colour shop. She had her debut solo exhibition in Charlottenborg at the age of 18. She has followed the teachings of Egil Jacobsen, Dan Sterup-Hansen and particularly Richard Mortensen. Susanne gets her inspiration from many sources, notably music, circus, the daily city-life, but also Christansø, where she goes every summer to her art cottage – ‘Gåsehytten’.
Maria Gregoriou
Maria is from Greece and works with paper. In this exhibition she is represented with four bowls made of cotton paper and coloured by self made indigo. Her training is from both Greece and England. She is a founding member of the art collective AFI.
Dorthe Friis Christensen
Dorthe is from Denmark and she started out with collages, first as post cards, later on as mixed media pictures. But in later years she has more and more moved towards water colours, from the quite naturalistic to the more experimental.
Dirk Günther
Dirk is from Germany abd got his training in Hamburg. He has lived and worked both in Germany and in Denmark, but since 2011 the small place of Magleby (near Stevns Klint) has been his home and studio, and he participates each year in Åbne Atelierdøre in Stevns.
