Opening reception: Friday 25 March 15.30-18 hrs.
At 16.00 hrs, the Ambassador of Lithuania, H. E. Ms. Asta Radikaitėand, and Cultural Attaché to the Scandinavian countries Ms. Liana Ruokyte-Jonsson will introduce the exhibition.
Consoncance – “Dermė” in Lithuanian – is the name of a new two-person exhibition project, bringing together artworks by two female Lithuanian artists from different fields: graphic arts by Neringa Žukauskaitė and ceramic sculptures by Rūta Šipalytė.
The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché of Lithuania in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, supported by the Lithuanian Culture Institute.
In preparation of the series of artworks destined for the “Dermė” show, N. Žukauskaitė and R. Šipalytė have seeked a common foundation in the relationship between flat and spatial artifacts while pursuing their respective creative themes. Both artists attach great importance to the theme of a place, of existence within a space that finds its expression in different dimensions through common features of minimalist shapes, moderation, sensitivity and meditativity.
This exhibition forms part of a continued project representing Danish and Lithuanian artists, organized by the Lithuanian Embassy and the Cultural Attaché to the Scandinavian countries at several Danish venues during 2022 and 2023.
