Frederica Rossi

Born: 1972, Parma, Italy, where she lives and works.

Background & Exhibitions

Background

She obtained a diploma  from the Liceo d’Arte Paolo Toschi (Artistic High School), Parma, Italy, and then frequented the Accademia di Comunicazione, Milan.

Federica has always had an innate, strong sense of her own creativity, and this has led her towards experimentation of all available expressive media. In the beginning of her career, she also used her creative abilities in the area of communication when employed as an art director in advertising  agencies.

However, her strong, instinctive passion for art eventually took over, and she felt driven to transform it into a profession. In 2004 she moved from an impassioned and rather exclusive use of colours and began to experiment with matter, studying both the matter itself and its use. Her technique, torn, bent and then consolidated, “emerges as a mirror of that universe of energies which dominates the human spirit”.

From 2004 onwards, she began to participate in various collective exhibitions, including personal exhibitions both in Italy, the rest of Europe and in the U.S.. She has exhibited in galleries, museums and institutions.

Her works can be seen in both public and private collections.
